About The Position

Augment Professional Services (APS) is seeking a Payroll Support Specialist to support enterprise timekeeping and payroll operations for a large-scale HR and payroll environment. This role plays a critical part in maintaining accurate employee time and attendance records while ensuring payroll processes operate efficiently and in compliance with established policies and pay rules. The Payroll Support Specialist will support daily timekeeping transactions, monitor payroll readiness, and assist in resolving employee and manager inquiries related to time entry, accruals, and attendance records. Working within a structured HR shared services environment, this role will collaborate with payroll teams, HR operations, and management to ensure data accuracy and timely payroll processing. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, experience working with enterprise timekeeping platforms such as UKG/Kronos, and the ability to deliver responsive, professional support in a service-oriented HR operations environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1–2 years of experience supporting payroll, HR operations, or timekeeping administration
  • Experience processing timekeeping transactions including: Time corrections, Absence management, Accrual adjustments, Standard time entry updates
  • Familiarity with enterprise timekeeping systems such as UKG (Kronos), Oracle, or similar platforms
  • Experience managing service requests or case management systems such as ServiceNow or similar intake tools
  • Ability to monitor time entries and ensure completion prior to payroll deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy when managing employee time records
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), audit checkpoints, and payroll controls
  • Strong communication skills when responding to employee and manager inquiries

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting HR Shared Services or centralized payroll operations
  • Exposure to enterprise payroll cycles and payroll readiness activities
  • Familiarity with HR compliance and payroll regulations
  • Understanding of HR service delivery models and ticketing workflows
  • Experience working in high-volume operational environments supporting large employee populations
  • Ability to identify and resolve data discrepancies within timekeeping systems
