This job is full-time permanent.  Schedule: Maintain hours within core business hours, onsite - not eligible for remote work status Role Overview:Join a well-established Wausau area manufacturing organization as an Payroll / HR Specialist, supporting both finance and HR . This dual-role position is ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented individual with a strong problem-solving mindset. This role supports finance activities including weekly, hourly payroll, accounts payable and other entry-level financial tasks as well as specific HR tasks relevant to hourly recruitment and onboarding for employees.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred (e.g., Business, HR, Finance).
  • Experience in payroll as primary contact, processor and providing weekly compensation analytics and data reporting.
  • Proficient with computer applications and excel spreadsheet management, UKG and SAP are preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Capable of working independently and as part of a team, with the ability to identify problems, bringing to full resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Fully manage data integrity for hourly payroll system
  • Main point of contact for hourly staff and supervisor payroll questions and data review
  • Complete weekly payroll processing using the UKG payroll system
  • Assist with month-end data collection and reporting
  • Support hourly staff recruitment and onboarding
  • Manage bid processing and UKG updates
