About The Position

Solve problems, work with customers, and have technical backgrounds from a variety of different fields including Linux/Windows systems administration, database design and optimization, big data analysis, network administration, and dev ops. Support services with focus on networking technologies including Route 53, Elastic Load Balancing, VPC. Provide foundation for all Cloud services. Support engineers and field general guidance questions from customers such as setting up a small website using EC2 up to troubleshooting and reproducing complex performance issues from customers with fleets of thousands of EC2 instances. Be the “voice of the customer” and have a strong voice into the development teams for recurring issues or feature requests.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field and three years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
  • Must have one year of experience in the following skill(s): (1) Linux or Windows systems administration; (2) working with HTTP/s, TCP/IP, DNS, OSI model, routing, switching, firewalls, and LAN/WAN; (3) working with tools such as traceroute, iperf, dig, and CURL; (4) Network administration (DNS, TCP/IP, BGP, Load Balancing, software-based IPSEC, SSL-based VPN solutions), and Virtualization (Hypervisors, VMware, or Xen).
  • 100% telecommuting permitted; work may be performed from anywhere in the U.S.
