The Supply Planner is responsible for all aspects of the Parts Purchase placement process as well as the strategy, planning and analytics. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Maintain accurate inventory levels and forecast inventory needs on multiple products. Purchase Order management process from purchase placement through inbound receipts. Communication, negotiation, and coordination with suppliers in Japan, China, Switzerland, and 3rd Party Suppliers. Communication and coordination with international subsidiaries in UK, Canada, Mexico and Panama. Delivery Management: Track receipts against confirmed purchase orders and managing priority of receipts. Responsible for the communication and resolution of delivery issues from suppliers. Specific tracking of early and overdue (late) orders, factory fulfillment changes supplier fulfillment changes. Liaison between Parts Warehouse, Finished Goods Warehouse and Customer Care regarding Parts Purchase Order receipts when necessary. Provides analysis for Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings. Analyze and identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory and work with finance to reduce stock. Recommend improvements to parts department best practices and procedures for the parts department. Seek to make improvements in the factory purchasing process and related inventory analysis.
