About The Position

The Supply Management Coordinator receives day to day direction from work unit and department leadership. The incumbent in this position also works collaboratively with spokespersons, supervisors, supply & equipment vendors, other managers, consultants, and interdepartmentally with purchasing, Contracting and Revenue Recognition. The Supply Management Coordinator (SMC) is responsible for all aspects of management of the annual supply inventory. Will work closely with Foundation purchasing as national purchasing options affecting are pursued. Will ensure that proper inventory levels are met for daily operations. The incumbent in this position is responsible for evaluating, assessing, recommending, developing, and implementing supply cost reduction initiatives to meet departmental strategic objectives. Will be responsible for evaluating the need for supply consistency/standardization and look for opportunities to increase supply reimbursement. Will assure quality supplies are purchased at reasonable costs. The person in the position will provide supply management instruction to supervisors, oversee computer and manual inventory systems, coordinate recalls and alerts with user, vendor and/or government agencies, be actively involved with negotiations. Will also be responsible for routinely monitoring and reporting on the department's cost saving activities.

Requirements

  • Two years of experience in supply management is required.
  • Excellent oral and written communications, interpersonal skills, and analytical skills are required.
  • Working knowledge of various computer software including Work, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

Nice To Haves

  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field is preferred.
  • Knowledge of SIMS would be helpful but not necessary.
