About The Position

We are looking for candidates to fill a Supply Coordinator position at our Wallops Island, Virginia station. The Surface Combat Systems Center (SCSC) at Wallops Island requires support in management, engineering, operations, and technical expertise for the activation, operation, maintenance, and engineering of equipment, systems, and computer programs. This support is crucial for all Naval Sea Systems Command and Program Executive Office, Integrated Warfare Systems missions and projects conducted at SCSC. SCSC offers live and simulated integrated warfare capabilities in a net-centric maritime environment, aimed at developing, testing, evaluating, and conducting fleet operations and training for the warfighter.

Requirements

• Six (6) years of management experience, with at least five (5) years involving Federal Government Supply programs.
• Proven ability to lead and direct challenging projects and execute assignments independently.
• Demonstrated experience managing supply operations to include shipping, receiving, warehousing, delivery, inventory, mail operations, hazardous material, and procurement.
• Able to maintain an active DoD Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for processing and coordination of needed materials to support the SCSC Wallops mission.
• Managing inventory levels to minimize carrying costs and ensure demand is met.
• Conduct cost estimating
• Maintain and track inventory, equipment, and conduct physical audits of inventory.
• Performing stock control functions in Navy automated supply systems.
• Maintain relevant knowledge and proficiency in databases, policies, nomenclature, and procedures
• Use analytical skills to identify supply system issues and implement policy-compliant solutions.
