About The Position

DSG is seeking a Supply Chain Operations Manager for each of our East and West Districts. As a Supply Chain Operations Manager, you will be a key contributor to our Hub Branch operations, which impact service and responsiveness to our customers, suppliers, branches, and employee owners. This position will collaborate with the Regional Operations Managers and regional branches to lead and help manage all logistics activities within the region and supported branches, by implementing management system routines, deploying Glass Wall Metric structure, and leading process improvement strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate for Supply Chain Operations Manager will live near one of our main hub branches: Fargo, ND or Sioux Falls, SD (West District) or in Plymouth, MN or La Crosse, WI (East District). Requirements

  • Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record (required).
  • Prior work experience in distribution, the industry and/or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience applying Lean Six Sigma methodologies to drive operational efficiency, cost reduction, and process standardization across multiple sites.
  • Strong background in warehouse operations, logistics, and inventory management, with a focus on optimizing processes and improving operational efficiency.
  • High school diploma, college degree in related field preferred.
  • Ability to plan, analyze, prioritize, and organize work effectively and to work effectively under pressure and time deadlines.
  • Strong general computer skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft excel and other data analysis tools.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Interpersonal communication skills necessary to lead others and deal effectively with a diverse group of external customers and vendors, as well as internal contacts at all levels of the company.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily management system routines, including shift handoffs, visual management, and queue oversight, ensuring safe, efficient, and consistent operations.
  • Review and communicate daily late orders and delivery exceptions, driving corrective actions to improve service performance.
  • Facilitate daily and weekly huddles focused on safety, quality, delivery, and productivity metrics (e.g., lines picked per hour, shorted orders, late lines).
  • Deploy and maintain Glass Wall performance tracking, reinforcing accountability and data‑driven decision making.
  • Execute weekly labor planning and backlog management to balance workload, staffing, and service commitments.
  • Conduct weekly business reviews to assess operational KPIs, identify gaps, and prioritize continuous improvement actions.
  • Lead monthly business reviews, aligning operational performance with strategic goals and financial targets.
  • Drive hub optimization and standardization initiatives, including slotting, staging area design, and process improvements to increase throughput and efficiency.
  • Champion Pride in Ownership and safety initiatives, embedding a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement across the operation.
  • Work closely with the Supply Chain team to ensure optimal processes and best practices are implemented within the Hub Branches and region for overall effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Promote and maintain branch operational excellence through Eclipse (ERP) system review, and support
