The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, and administration of an efficient, coordinated supply support system. This role involves developing and implementing methods for improving operational efficiencies, controlling supply inventory, and managing all aspects of material flow including procurement, receiving, handling, transportation, storing, accounting, and issuing. The manager will also develop and maintain Key Performance Indicators, implement Supply Chain best practices, ensure adequate supply levels, coordinate timely distribution, and maintain communication to meet material standards. A key part of the role is providing leadership and support to physicians and staff to foster understanding of supply chain best practices, meet operational and financial goals, and develop cost reduction programs while maintaining satisfaction. The manager will identify sourcing opportunities, service improvements, and product standardization, and actively participate in the Value Analysis program. Additionally, the role requires maintaining and supporting all manual and automated systems for purchasing, receiving, distribution, and outbound shipping activities.

Requirements

  • 5 years applicable experience – Healthcare logistics, distribution and supply chain
  • Strong problem solving and communication skills
  • Ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Innovative thinker
  • Ability to work in storeroom, warehouse and manual labor environment

Responsibilities

  • Leading the development, implementation and administration of a coordinated supply support system that operates efficiently
  • Develops and implements methods and systems for improving operational efficiencies, and controls supply inventory
  • Procurement, receiving & handling, transportation, storing, accounting, and issuing of materials
  • Develops and maintains Key Performance Indicators
  • Develops and implements Supply Chain best practices
  • Ensures adequate supply levels and coordinates timely supply distribution
  • Maintains open lines of communication to ensure materials meet the required standard
  • Provides leadership, guidance and support to physicians and staff to develop their understanding of supply chain best practices to ensure operational and financial goals are met
  • Develops cost reduction programs while maintaining satisfaction levels
  • Identifies sourcing opportunities, service improvements and product standardization consistent with the goals of meeting the client's expectations
  • Actively participate in the Value Analysis program
  • Maintains and supports all manual and automated systems for purchasing, receiving and distribution activities to include shipping activities as required (outbound)
