About The Position

Accenture's Supply Chain team works with Fortune 500 clients to drive significant change through functional insights, data analysis, digital leadership, and industry expertise. The goal is to help clients achieve major advancements in planning, procurement, manufacturing, and fulfillment, while also enhancing sustainability and resilience. This involves identifying key metrics, optimizing costs and capital, improving response times, integrating ESG values, connecting suppliers and customers across the extended supply chain, and developing effective strategies and operating models. The ideal candidate is a Supply Chain and Operations professional who assists clients in developing and implementing strategies and operating models that integrate various functions like planning, procurement, product design, manufacturing, and fulfillment. This role also involves connecting suppliers and customers across extended supply chains. Utilizing data skills, the consultant will develop and implement strategies to improve the entire supply chain process, focusing on cost efficiency, business effectiveness, and fostering collaboration. Strong communication skills are essential to ensure ideas are understood and implemented quickly. The role also involves guiding teams and ensuring timely project completion. Additionally, the position is suited for a motivated and analytical professional starting a career in Sourcing and Procurement strategy, helping clients improve procurement processes, optimize supplier relationships, and drive operational efficiency through data analysis and actionable sourcing strategies.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Sourcing, Procurement, or Supply Chain roles.
  • External consulting experience at a consulting firm or internal consulting experience in a role equivalent to the Consultant level within industry.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 10 years' work experience).
  • If Associate’s Degree, must have equivalent minimum 6-year work experience.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with procurement software tools (e.g., SAP Ariba, Oracle Procurement Cloud).
  • Lean or Six Sigma certification.
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
  • Excel in building and developing relationships, overseeing complex programs and demonstrating leadership.
  • MBA or equivalent graduate degree.
  • Functional-level understanding of technology solutions.
  • Ability to use the latest data analytics tools to spot opportunities for improvement.
  • Prior experience in driving insights using visualization tools (i.e. Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx) and analytics tools (i.e. Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics).

Responsibilities

  • Support the creation and execution of sourcing initiatives that align with client objectives and reduce procurement costs.
  • Analyze current procurement processes, identify inefficiencies, and suggest improvements.
  • Assist in supplier negotiations and building relationships, ensuring performance standards are met.
  • Use analytics to monitor procurement metrics, track supplier performance, and identify areas for cost reduction.
  • Work directly with clients to understand their needs and translate those needs into actionable sourcing strategies.
  • Assist in the integration of digital tools to improve procurement workflows and drive automation.
  • Support project teams to ensure that sourcing strategies are executed on time, within scope, and aligned with business goals.
