Position Summary: To establish effective demand plans, supply plans, production plans and production schedules that balance the requirements of customer service levels, plant efficiencies, and inventory management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain or related field required.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Supply Chain Manager in a multi-stage manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a planner/scheduler in a multi-stage manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in ERP/MRP preferred.
  • Scheduling software implementation experience preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • APICS CPIM Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain demand plan.
  • Maintain capacity plan.
  • Maintain and publish weekly Production Plans.
  • Ensure production schedules that drive compliance to plan, production efficiency and effective supply quantities.
  • Manage department staff of three (Warehouse Mgr., Production Scheduler, Material Buyer/Planner).
  • Manage overall inventory levels of WIP and finished goods.
  • Support new product development and launch coordination.
  • Compile information for various tracking and reporting
  • Gather supply chain information related to completing customer bids.
  • Attend daily production meetings with plant management team.
  • Work closely with other department managers and supervisors to resolve production issues and support continuous process improvement efforts.
  • Develop advanced-level understanding of plant operations routing/cycle times and maintain a current situational awareness of operational status.
  • Recommend and implement solutions in support of process changes, order expediting, preventative maintenance cycles, etc.
