The Supply Chain Management Student will work in our Corporate Sourcing department, a corporate entity in the manufacturing division of Daktronics. This department manages the performance of the material supply chain that services our manufacturing locations. Our Sourcing philosophy is to build ongoing partnerships with our suppliers.  This is reflected in our Sourcing Mission Statement: Supply chain development and management focused on long term relationships aligned with corporate initiatives to drive continuous improvement. The Supply Chain Management Student will support these efforts through strategic commodity rationalization activities, entailing cost management, item risk mitigation, supplier reduction, and communication with internal customers and external vendors. Supply Chain Management Students will develop skills and gain experience in: Communicating professionally via meetings, phone, and email. Working in databases, SharePoint, Excel, etc. Prioritizing Problem solving Strategic thinking Data analytics Following procedures and recommending improvements. Managing small projects. Purchasing Establishing and building peer relationships (Engineering, Accounting, Manufacturing, etc.). Interacting with individuals internal and external to Daktronics, including supplier interactions.

Requirements

  • Academic Requirements : The preferred applicant will be a student registered in at least 12 credits.
  • Applicants must be currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor’s degree program in Business Management, Economics, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • The preferred applicant will be in their sophomore or junior year of school.
  • Only strong academic performers will be considered and must maintain an acceptable GPA.
  • Applicants must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5 or higher.
  • Unofficial transcripts or web transcripts must be submitted with application.
  • Other Requirements: Good oral and written communication skills, organizational skills, self-motivation, and attention to detail.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older
  • Daktronics does not sponsor, renew, or extend immigration visas for this position.
