About The Position

The Role: Entegris is currently seeking a Logistics Specialist to join our team. This position will be based in our Aurora, IL area. This role will be a 6-month contract/temporary role. In this role, you will be responsible for scheduling and coordinating all daily shipping activities along with the timely completion of the corresponding shipping transactions. Supply Chain Specialist works closely with carriers and logistics service providers to ensure schedules are executed timely and in compliance with US import/export regulations. The Supply Chain Specialist will work very closely with individuals in other groups such as Production Planning, Quality, Shipping Operations & Customer Service to effectively meet customer and Entegris shipping requirements.

Requirements

  • 5+ years logistics experience or equivalent experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment required.
  • Previous experience working in SAP
  • Certifications to ship hazardous materials via Air-IATA, Ground-DOT & Ocean-IMDG

Nice To Haves

  • Freight forwarding experience is a strong plus.
  • Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt certification.
  • APICS certification

Responsibilities

  • Book, schedule and coordinate weekly shipments with carriers or freight forwarders and communicate schedules timely
  • Create shipping order packets and corresponding shipping documents for all shipments accurately and timely
  • Manage daily shipping office operations which include, but are not limited to:
  • Ensuring timely preparation of all documentation
  • Monitoring and updating the shipping schedule as required
  • Signing in drivers for shipping appointments and the timely completion of all shipping transactions in SAP
  • Complete various types of receiving transactions in SAP on a timely basis
  • Schedule and coordinate outbound ocean shipments from a local 3PL warehouse to Japan
  • Schedule and coordinate receiving from local vendors and suppliers for the Aurora manufacturing plant
  • Schedule and coordinate import ocean containers for delivery to the Aurora manufacturing plant or a local 3PL warehouse
  • Schedule and manage local shuttle operations between Aurora plants along with local suppliers or 3PL warehouses
  • Review for accuracy and approve the 3PL billing invoices for submission to A/P for payment
  • Review freight quotes to make shipping recommendations and/or decisions
  • Measure and report key metrics (KPIs) and drive continuous improvement initiatives as required
  • Support hazardous material shipments for all Aurora locations and manufacturing plants
  • Support shipment of materials that are outside of SAP inventory and require manual documentation
  • Will be required to respond to audit inquiries and address findings accurately and timely
  • Document and/or update departmental Work Instructions, Standard Operating Procedures and RACIs as needed or required

  • The pay range for this position is $28/hr to $34/hr. based on experience.
