About The Position

We are seeking a motivated system‑thinking intern to join our Americas Fulfillment Center (AFC) for a hands‑on internship focused on inventory rationalization and optimization. This Supply Chain Intern role will support efforts to reduce excess and obsolete inventory, eliminate overflow, and optimize inventory placement through data-driven analysis and cross‑functional collaboration. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain real-world experience inside a high‑volume fulfillment environment supporting the assembly and delivery of best‑in-class test and measurement equipment.

Requirements

  • Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Operations, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field; graduating December 2026 or later.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence presenting findings and recommendations to both small working groups and larger audiences.
  • Process‑oriented, systems‑thinking mindset with a curiosity for continuous improvement and organizational change.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to work through ambiguous problems and balance competing priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Power BI, including working with large data sets, formulas, pivot tables, and basic data visualization.
  • Resourceful and proactive, with the creativity to overcome operational constraints and turn challenges into improvement opportunities.
  • A strong problem‑solving mindset and enthusiasm for learning within a fast‑paced fulfillment and operations environment.

Responsibilities

  • Partner broadly with AFC teams including Inventory Control, WMS, and Planning to identify and execute opportunities to reduce inventory through elimination or reduction of excess and obsolete materials.
  • Analyze inventory characteristics (velocity, aging, demand patterns) to support inventory rationalization and consolidation decisions.
  • Support efforts to eliminate overflow inventory by: Recommending inventory consolidation and movement strategies, and/or Evaluating opportunities to convert overflow space into a pickable, WMS-enabled zone.
  • Create inventory activity heat maps and slotting analyses to optimize product placement for efficiency, space utilization, and material flow.
  • Assess current fulfillment and inventory management processes and identify improvement opportunities using structured problem-solving.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships across operations, supply chain, and internal customers, with a focus on operational excellence and customer success.
  • Gain exposure to the day‑to-day realities of fulfillment center operations, inventory accuracy, and warehouse management systems.
