About The Position

This internship position as a Supply Chain Engineering Intern involves hands-on work within the supply chain department. The intern will be responsible for recording data related to incoming goods, collaborating with various departments to optimize product flow, and working with engineering to define packaging requirements. Key tasks also include updating work instructions, managing freight invoices, assisting with supplier penalties, and developing a packaging detail database with Logistics, as well as creating Logistic Agreements with suppliers. The role requires the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Record data (dimensions, density, materials, etc) related to incoming goods
• Work between departments to establish flow of product that meets needs of the plant.
• Work with Engineering to define racks and packaging needs for quality parts
• Update and write work instructions
• Receive and validate freight invoices
• Process and assist supplier penalties
• Work independently
• Work with Logistics to create database of packaging detail.
• Work with suppliers to create Logistic Agreements
