The Supply Chain Intern will be a crucial part of the materials team, ensuring the smooth flow of critical aerospace components. This role offers hands-on experience in stockroom logistics, shipping, and receiving within a high-stakes manufacturing environment. The intern will learn aerospace supply chain management by actively managing inventory, verifying shipments, and routing materials to production cells. It is ideal for someone detail-oriented, eager to learn, and looking to support the delivery of flight-critical hardware.

Requirements

  • Must be able to pass a comprehensive criminal background check and drug screening.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum (due to ITAR requirements).
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required.
  • Working knowledge of computers for data entry and inventory tracking.
  • Ability to use basic math (add, subtract, multiply, and divide) accurately.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, as well as communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to multitask.
  • Should be able to work under pressure and meet critical shipping and receiving deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Stock and distribute all purchased and produced materials as required through the computer system, maintaining a high standard of stockroom organization.
  • Receive, unpack, verify, and record incoming merchandise and raw materials into the inventory system.
  • Examine contents and compare them with records such as manifests, invoices, or orders to verify the absolute accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Prepare items for shipment by packing, sealing, labeling, and affixing postage to outgoing materials.
  • Prepare critical routing documents, including work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders.
  • Deliver or route essential materials to various departments and production cells to support the daily manufacturing schedule.
  • Perform regular cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy and ensure production continuity.
