SUMMARY: Role applies practical supply chain knowledge to identify, analyze and solve problems within a single value stream. Implements and supports continuous improvements and business process changes. This is a 6 month contract position. This is an onsite role is based in Locust Grove, GA. remote work is not available. Candidate must be local to the GA area. No relocation assistance or sponsorship is available for this position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or Information Systems is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of Supply Chain experience.
  • Working knowledge of relevant supply chain technologies such as ERP, Manufacturing Executions Systems, Warehouse Management systems
  • Knowledge and experience with ERP systems, data mining and data reporting
  • Proficient in utilizing lean tools and methodology for problem solving and continuous improvement, including Pull, 5Y, PDCA, A3 thinking, waste elimination.
  • Engages with other in a way that can be developed into an ongoing working relationship.
  • Seeks to understand customer needs in detail and how to satisfy them.
  • Willingly accepts assignments that will expand his/her capabilities.
  • Seeks opportunities to learn from others who have more experience and tenure in the organization.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous success in ERP implementation.
  • Previous success in a greenfield manufacturing startup
  • Previous experience in a high-volume, high-variety just-in-time manufacturing environment.
  • Previous experience building reports in powerbi, tableau or other tools.
  • Previous experience with Python

Responsibilities

  • Participate in supply chain projects within the value stream with consideration to the entire supply chain (plan, source, make, deliver).
  • Provides a high degree of planning analysis to support decision making.
  • Optimize supply planning parameters that align with business requirements for service and inventory, including coordination of services and material to match production demands.
  • Identifies supply chain problem areas and drives improvement in service, reduce cost, and increase inventory turns, Utilizing Supply Chain and lean tools such as Kanban, 5Y, Plan-Do-Check-Act, value stream mapping and A3 thinking.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners including suppliers, supervisors and team leads, logistics/warehouse groups and material planners.
  • Facilitates functional team meetings.
  • Provide daily work direction to others in value stream (planners and other project participants)
  • Works independently with general supervision.
