Responsible for inventory management, ordering via Requisitioning and PO to include: Bill only / No Charge / Repairs, monitoring, and tracking of surgical implants, supplies and human tissue. This position works closely with the specialty ANMs, Inventory Control Coordinators, and Material Management team to coordinate and ensure the delivery of products in a timely manner. Participates in new product conversion and implementation activities and coordinates the delivery of implants and/or supplies from vendors and/or other facilities. Assists department Inventory Control Coordinator with inventory management processes and projects, ARC, NPR, Consignment, BOS, and Contract Compliance. Provides vendors with purchase orders for non-stock items used during surgery; accounts for all lot and serial numbers for tissue in accordance with Joint Commission guidelines and complies with all other regulatory requirements. Manages assigned inventories by conducting daily, weekly, monthly, and semi-annual counts, maintaining appropriate quantities on hand using established par levels, and requisitioning or ordering replacements. Tracks and reports implant usage. Reviews OR schedule daily to plan and coordinate any special orders. Responds to customer requests. Receives and stocks implants. Monitors usage to ensure no outdated or obsolete implants are in stock. Immediately informs customers and labels implant locations appropriately when items are out of stock utilizing REH visual cue Card process. Analyzes usage to adjust par levels for maximum efficiency, minimum cost. Interacts regularly with Procurement to ensure that orders are placed completely and will be delivered in a timely manner to meet Medical Center demands. Researches, records, and adjusts quantity counts when discrepancies are found. Reports adjustments to direct Supervisor. Providence caregivers are not simply valued - they're invaluable.
