A Supply Chain Coordinator who excels in this role: Responsible for stocking and maintaining supplies across hospital departments using computer-assisted tools and standard inventory practices to support efficient patient care operations. Performs periodic cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory; adjusts inventory records as needed. Stocks units with office and medical supplies; prepares requisitions to maintain par levels. Receives shipments, logs receipts, enters data into the inventory system, delivers items to departments or other facilities, and reports/documents errors or damages to management. Answers the telephone, receiving dock, and walk-up window professionally; routes calls/messages appropriately. Completes clerical/computer tasks that support patient care delivery. Processes outgoing mail. Performs other duties as assigned. Reports to the Director or Manager of Department. Requirements

  • High school diploma or the equivalent is required.
  • Ability to quickly learn and navigate multiple computer systems.
  • Effective English communication (read, write, speak, and understand).
  • Ability to complete the Skills Competency Checklist within 90 days of hire.
  • Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens may be present.
  • Frequent bending/stooping, standing, walking, keyboard data entry; occasional climbing, kneeling, sitting, squatting; rare running.
  • Ability to push/pull 0- 25 lbs constantly; 26- 75 lbs frequently; >75 lbs occasionally.
  • Non-patient lifting/carrying 0- 25 lbs constantly; 26- 75 lbs frequently; >75 lbs rarely.
  • Generally rare exposure to biohazardous waste, blood/body fluids, communicable diseases; rare exposure to asbestos/lead, cytotoxic chemicals, dust, hazardous chemicals, gases/vapors/fumes, hazardous medications; latex exposure rare.
