About The Position

Position Summary: The Supply Chain Coordinator position supports the Materials Management Team. The position is responsible for assisting with inventory transactions with in the MRP systems for Supply Chain and Logistics. Assists in writing, revising, and implementing Standard Operating Procures for the Materials Management Team. Position Responsibilities: Monitor, compile, organize, log, and retain import documentation from material imports for the Charles City site in a timely manner. Ensure required information is available and accurate on documentation to be compliant with all regulation, i.e. FDA for importation. Create and maintain required Stand Operating Procedures for proper control over the shipping, receiving, and compliance process. Strong communication skills required as the liaison among external and internal customers, brokers, and forwarders. Works with shippers/sellers to assure correct and thorough documentation is provided at time of shipment, including pre-shipment review approval. Attend required meetings and trainings for Import Compliance and site.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related business/technical field preferred or 5 years-experience in related field.
  • Prior work experience in warehousing desired.
  • Good math and basic computer skills.
  • Fork truck experience preferred.
  • Ability to obtain shipment of dangerous goods certification.
  • Demonstrated organization skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of product flow through Manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing facilities and equipment capabilities and constraints.
  • Knowledge and understanding of MPS, MRP, and inventory management principles.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle changing deadlines.
  • Must have strong communication skills to deal with all levels of customers.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills and ability to pay close attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Must be able to follow written and verbal directions and properly handle confidential documents.
  • Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of GMP requirements, Record Retention process, and familiarity with standard operating procedures preferred.
  • Must be self motivated and willing to learn new and changing responsibilities.
  • Candidate must possess flexibility to respond to constantly changing conditions and priorities.
  • Extensive computer work is necessary for this position.
  • Must be able to walk, sit, or stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to reach above shoulder level, bend/stoop, kneel, push/pull, and handle/grip frequently.
  • Must be comfortable working in varying temperatures.
  • Must be able to work scheduled 40 hours with the ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Frequent lifting and carrying of 5 to 50 lbs.
  • Regular reaching, bending, stooping, and twisting.
  • Repetitive motion and substantial movement of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
  • Must be able to perform in a fast paced, dynamic work environment.
