Novelis North America is seeking a contract professional to support our Product Management team, focused on planning and coordinating materials for automotive customers. This role sits at the center of the supply chain and ensures customer orders move smoothly from production through delivery. You will track work in progress materials, identify risks that could impact customer delivery, and work closely with Sales, Supply Chain, Operations, and Plant teams to resolve issues. This is a hands-on planning and coordination role suited for someone who is comfortable working with data, managing priorities, and communicating across teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position plays a critical role in preventing customer disruptions by ensuring materials are planned, prioritized, and delivered on time. Your work directly supports customer satisfaction and operational continuity. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain planning, production planning, or manufacturing operations
  • Experience working in a large or multinational manufacturing environment (automotive preferred)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large data sets
  • Advanced Excel skills (data analysis, cleansing, reporting)
  • SAP experience required; SAP APO experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to extract data from SAP, analyze it, and make recommendations
  • Strong communication skills and comfort working with cross functional teams
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and adapt in a fastmoving environment
  • Knowledge of manufacturing; planning, scheduling, finance/budgeting, and/or quality systems
  • Excellent interpersonal and project management skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, multidimensional environment
  • Proven track record to meet tight deadlines with emphasis on sustained accuracy and attention to detail
  • Must be willing to work onsite 4 days per week

Responsibilities

  • Track customer orders and materials as they move through the end-to-end supply chain
  • Identify and escalate urgent or high-risk items that could impact customer deliveries
  • Allocate available materials to customers based on urgency and “fair share” guidelines
  • Provide regular order and material status updates to Sales and Customer Service teams
  • Partner with Supply Chain and Plant Scheduling teams to prioritize production and deliveries
  • Analyze planning and SAP data to identify issues, root causes, and improvement opportunities
  • Build and maintain tracking tools and reports (primarily in Excel)
  • Coordinate material routing with Supply Chain and Engineering teams
  • Support alternative material usage or re‑application when supply constraints exist
  • Communicate clearly with stakeholders, including senior leadership, when issues arise
  • Foster effective communication and close collaboration with Account Managers and cross functional teams to ensure business objectives are met
  • Profitably manage growth through defining asset loading plans (regional and inter-regional product translation and supply plans).
  • Support sales and market strategy objectives while understanding market impacts and competitive landscape to identify opportunities and proactive decision making
