About The Position

Responsible for the development and execution of purchasing strategies on given scope for eMobility business. Oversee the sourcing of emerging technology suppliers that support the introduction of next generation products to support Eaton eMobility growth. Collaborate with Mobility Group and Corporate SCM as well as with other support functions. Drive Pursuits RFQ with the goal of converting new business opportunities into wins, with a strong focus on cost accuracy and supplier timing. Develop strategic supplier alliances, ensure supplier performance, reduce total supply chain costs and improve quality and service delivery throughout the supply chain system. Develop long-term commodity strategic planning, and ensure commodity strategies are aligned, deployed and meet the requirements of Supply Chain Management across the world-wide eMobility operations. Effectively implement Eaton’s strategic plan and managing measurable results. Lead cross functional teams to establish business category strategy on given scope, generate cost-outcome results, reduce supply base and improve quality and service performance. Perform quarterly reviews on strategy status and actions. Ensure panel data accuracy (spend taxonomy, supplier Approved Supplier List, etc.). Perform supplier prospection and benchmark analysis. Support new supplier introduction (including Terms & Conditions and Supplier Excellence Quality Manuel negotiations). Negotiate and manage key strategic supplier contracts. Provide RFQ bidding list and approve supplier selection reviews on VAVE, Re-Sourcing, NPI & Advanced projects. Define and deploy supply chain strategy (resiliency, localization, material management, etc.). Drive design to cost initiatives with suppliers. Organize pre-sourcing council meeting. Drive Request for Quotation through Eaton Supplier Sourcing Process. Build product BOM Cost. Position is fixed location based in Austin office; however, telecommuting from a home office may also be allowed.

Requirements

  • Requires a Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, Engineering (any), or a directly related field plus two (2) years of experience in commodity management and advanced programs in Automotive environment.
  • Two (2) years of experience in SCM [Supply Chain Management] experience into Project management
  • Performing cost analysis and negotiation
  • Presenting costing report and category strategy completion to internal stakeholders (Engineering, Global Purchasing Organization, Quality)
  • Microsoft Office Software, including Power Apps and Power BI
  • Leading global supply chain strategy and sourcing activities
  • Supporting commodity strategies
