As part of the Supplier Quality Organization onsite in Louisville, KY, the Supplier Quality Engineer, Receiving supports Supplier Material Verification (Inspection) and is responsible for evaluating and assessing the quality of the material being delivered to Raytheon by our suppliers. You will support dispositioning material that is either confirmed or deemed suspect nonconforming and flow solely quality product forward for production. Requirements

  • Typically requires: A university degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years’ experience
  • Relevant experience is working quality, inspection, or supplier quality
  • Previous experience with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 quality management systems.
  • Previous experience with one of the following: hardware, product, manufacturing, or operations engineering.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

  • High computer literacy and with confidence and skill working with Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Project) and familiarity with Raytheon systems (PRISM, PDM)

Responsibilities

  • Complete required visual inspection, marking, identification and approval documents.
  • Perform disposition of nonconforming supplier material to accurately measure supplier performance.
  • Performs quality escape management procedures, root cause analysis, and recommends corrective/preventive actions (MRB) for design problems for internally produced products & processes.
  • Ensures the full compliance of company policies and procedures.
  • Support the deployment of receiving inspection operations strategy, control systems, and tools at multiple sites.
  • Prepare and present reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities using our Continuous Improvement system: CORE.
  • Daily interaction with cross-site and cross-business teams in RTX to maintain and meet organizational goals and objectives.
  • Influence and engage key Stakeholders to resolve complex supplier related issues and improvement opportunities.
  • You must have the ability to travel, approximately 25%
