The Quality Supervisor for receiving and final inspection provides the supervision and training of personnel performing receiving and final inspection. Is responsible for supporting the prevention of escapes to Rantec manufacturing (Rec/Insp) and preventing escapes to Rantec customers (final inspection). Additionally, he/she is responsible to maintain a consistent harmonious working relationship with Materials control and Shipping & Receiving personnel to enable smooth flow of incoming parts and material to manufacturing and controlled coordination of shipping product to customers. In addition to supervising direct reports, this position requires performance of Receiving and Final Inspection tasks. Essential Duties and Responsibilities, including but, are not limited to; Perform receiving and final inspection tasks. Direct the daily work assignments for receiving and final inspectors to coordinate receiving and final inspection activities and assignments to support the goals of conformance verification and the smooth flow of incoming purchased parts and material to outgoing finished product. Ensure a gatekeeper role to ensure product nonconformities are effectively identified and corrected, and that data on the incidence of nonconformities is captured for supply to the organization responsible for corrective action. Maintain qualification to perform most incoming, in-process and final inspection duties, including administrative tasks (i.e., Certificate of Conformance, test data, source inspection liaison). Ensure consistent and uniform practices for recording defects and nonconformities. Support audits of receiving and final inspection processes. Initiate and/or oversee the initiation of Non-Conformances (MRR) to suppliers. Support FAI activities being conducted by SQE. As necessary collaborate with QEs within the Quality Assurance department for all the above. Ensure adequate training of Receiving and Final Inspectors. Provide written performance evaluations of his/ or her direct reports. Periodic (per plan) ESD work bench compliance throughout operations. Ability to work flexible hours and/or different shifts, as required. Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including OSHA, EPA, State and Federal Regulations.
