Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s (Junior/Senior) or Master’s degree in Plastics/Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing or Supply Chain
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, supplier management, and planning.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and execute tasks in a timely manner.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Familiarity with project management concepts and the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Permanently authorized to work in the U.S., must not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future.
  • Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually requires future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Support product development projects and act as a liaison for activities involving new supplier requirements.
  • Assist in outsourcing and transferring sub‑assemblies from internal production to external suppliers.
  • Contribute to the “Quality at the Source” program, improving supplier yields and qualifying inspection processes at supplier facilities.
  • Drive capacity expansion projects to meet manufacturing and business needs.
  • Proactively manage component obsolescence.
  • Lead second‑source initiatives; monitor supplier and component risks and define mitigation plans.
  • Support the transfer of product improvements into production using Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles.
  • Analyze defective components identified in Incoming Inspection and collaborate with vendors to resolve issues.
  • Oversee supplier process validation activities using a risk‑based approach.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain.
