About The Position

The Supervisor, Project Engineering (GPM) supports the Global Product Monitoring (GPM) Complaint Investigations Lab by leading lab-specific strategic initiatives, continuous improvement (CI) projects, and cross-functional efforts to enhance operational efficiency. This role focuses on developing and implementing tools, including AI-based solutions, to optimize lab workflows and data analysis. The position serves as a key interface between the lab and CI teams, ensuring alignment, engagement, and successful execution of improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, life sciences, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Python) and process mapping.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and technical writing skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive results in a dynamic environment.

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of experience in a regulated industry, preferably medical devices or diagnostics.
  • Experience leading or supporting CI, operational excellence, or engineering projects.
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with complaint handling, lab operations, or quality systems is a plus.
  • Experience with AI/ML tools or software development is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Lead or coordinate CI and strategic projects that impact lab workflows and operational performance.
  • Develop and implement software tools, dashboards, and process enhancements to support lab operations and complaint investigations.
  • Collaborate with lab staff and engineers to gather feedback, conduct pilot testing, and validate new tools or processes.
  • Drive AI-based tool development and integration to support data analysis, automation, and decision-making.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with CI teams and other cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Support strategic planning and execution of lab initiatives aligned with business and quality objectives.
  • Facilitate change management and communication related to new tools, processes, or systems.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, risks, and outcomes using appropriate metrics and KPIs.
  • Ensure all initiatives comply with applicable regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA QSR, ISO 13485).
  • Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the lab.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
