About The Position

Dana is a global leader in the supply of highly engineered driveline, sealing, and thermal-management technologies that improve the efficiency and performance of vehicles with both conventional and alternative-energy powertrains. Serving two primary markets – passenger vehicle and commercial truck – Dana provides the world's original-equipment manufacturers and the aftermarket with local product and service support through a network of nearly 100 engineering, manufacturing, and distribution facilities. The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations to ensure production goals are met safely, efficiently, and on schedule. This role supervises production employees, coordinates workflow, enforces quality and safety standards, and drives continuous improvement across processes.

Requirements

  • Have a Bachelor degree in business or a minimum of 5 years of manufacturing supervisory role.
  • Knowledge in machine set-up.
  • Ability to develop trust and build relationships quickly.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Effective oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Must have the ability to work overtime and weekends as required.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen.
  • Must be able to lead projects.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate employee activities.
  • Assist in all items associated with the quality system.
  • Continuous improvements to the production program.
  • Assist in employee problem response and resolution.
  • Maintain acceptable customer quality standards; maintain the quality of production; take necessary corrective action to improve.
  • Meet production schedules, measure KPIs and develop & implement countermeasures to meet KPIs.
  • Maintains high standards for safety, housekeeping, and general maintenance.
  • Monitor employee attendance and assist in maintaining attendance records.
  • Administer provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
  • Maintain discipline within the department
  • Maintain daily timekeeping and production records
  • Must be able to work any shift
  • Assist in process improvements.
