About The Position

The Production Supervisor oversees multiple production lines and manages the conversion of raw materials and components into finished goods. This role includes supervising machine setup and operation, assembly processes, and general production activities. This role involves manages team leads and a team of production workers, sets operational goals and objectives, and ensures achievement of performance results. The role involves resolving moderately challenging operational issues that are typically non-complex, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Production Supervisor or similar role, minimum of 5 years' experience or 8 years' experience in lieu of degree.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of production processes and quality control standards including ISO, Quality system requirements, and Lean principles.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office software applications.
  • Familiar with Visual or other manufacturing ERP system.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks, and adhere to Personal Protective Equipment requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Six Sigma Yellow belt, or higher, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Direct operations of multiple lines and/or shifts to ensure safety, productivity, quality and housekeeping goals are met.
  • Set goals and manages results for team leaders on a day-to-day basis.
  • Ensure policies, practices and procedures are understood and adhered to by direct reports.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Supervise and coordinate production activities and processes; ensures adequate human and material resources to maintain production schedules; oversees multi-processes, possibly over multiple shifts.
  • Ensure production schedules are met and products meet quality standards.
  • Identify significant manpower and workflow problems and initiates corrective actions.
  • Support adherence to company policies and procedures including safety protocols.
  • Assist in broad formulation of manufacturing policies and procedures.
  • Train and mentor production staff, providing guidance and support.
  • Facilitate internal continuous improvement processes.
  • Maintain accurate production records and reports.
