About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Supervisor to join our Post Life Services team in Madison, WI! Job Responsibilities: Lead and support a team within Safety Assessment Operations, spending 20–30% of time in the lab/vivarium with hands‑on coaching and mentoring. Provide regular feedback, coaching, and full performance management, including setting, assessments, appraisals, and promotion/salary recommendations. Support individual development plans and monitor employee progress. Manage probationary period processes, including training oversight, mentor assignment, evaluations, and documentation. Participate in recruiting, hiring, and onboarding new team members. Promote and support diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. Schedule and coordinate daily team activities, ensuring proper staffing, resources, and alignment with other groups. Ensure full compliance with GLP, GMP, SOPs, study plans, and all relevant regulatory requirements. Review and interpret study plans, identify issues, and take corrective actions during study conduct. Optimize existing techniques and contribute to the development of new methods and processes. Perform quality control checks, ensure accurate documentation, and identify areas for improvement. Oversee equipment maintenance, validation, calibration, and replacement; maintain inventory and ensure timely supply ordering. Provide timely, constructive responses to Study Direction, QAU, EH&S, clients, and regulatory agencies. Maintain clear, consistent communication across the team regarding study progress, procedures, safety, quality, and business updates. Plan, organize, and participate in study start‑ups, coordination meetings, inspections, and client visits. Support a safe working environment by enforcing Environmental Health & Safety policies. Report any animal welfare concerns and participate in appropriate corrective actions. Take responsibility for assigned operational areas (e.g., lab or animal spaces, equipment, supplies, waste management). Participate in global working groups, as needed. Work under occasional supervision while performing additional related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in animal science, biology, chemistry, microbiology, biochemistry, laboratory animal science
  • 3 years or more years of experience in research or laboratory role
