Job SummaryThis position is responsible for supervising and providing training to production staff in order to meet goals for safety, quality, and productivity. This position is on-site in Elkton, Maryland. This position will work first shift.

Requirements

  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of six years of experience in a manufacturing environment within a regulated industry, of which a minimum of two years must be in a leadership role.
  • Basic computer software skills, i.e. Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations within the department (i.e., daily interaction and communication with staff, setting goals and objectives, planning schedules, preventative maintenance/maintenance repair, tracking production results, etc.). Meet production schedules.
  • Provide a safe work environment and resolve any safety issues that arise.
  • Continually improve product process and quality through analyzing, identifying, and eliminating root causes. Such improvements include lean manufacturing, increasing yield rates, reducing waste, improving outputs, and participating with Engineering to improve processes.
  • Coordinate and interact daily with support groups.
  • Maintain department expenses within budget.
  • Maintain proper inventory levels within the production area.
  • Keep management informed of critical production issues.
  • Utilizes the systems and processes in place to attract, develop, engage, train, and retain talented Associates; creating a work environment where Associates can realize their full potential, thus allowing the organization to meet business needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
