About The Position

About the team:Lead and supervise production personnel utilizing procedures and work instructions to meet or exceed customer and company requirements for safety, quality, delivery, and cost. What you can look forward to as Production Supervisor: Create a positive, results-oriented work environment through coaching and mentoring of team leaders and employees. Plan, select, and develop manufacturing methods and processes through continuous improvement and lean manufacturing techniques. Understand and construct relationships to develop and build teams to meet customer demands and satisfaction, solve internal process issues, and implement and monitor continuous improvement. Maintain and improve production performance processes through waste reduction, problem solving and continuous improvement activity. Supervise and train production employees for growth and development by ensuring employees are qualified and trained in assigned positions. Accountable for performance management to include coaching, corrective counseling and disciplinary actions, submitting employee step progressions, performance reviews, and any other ZF documentation relative to employee’s performance. Monitor and evaluate performance of team leaders and employees through, constructive feedback (e.g. written reviews, and corrective counseling, etc.), support to meet expectations, maintain open door communication, and promote an issue free environment. Promote efficient production methods by assuring work instructions, gages, and all required documentation are in place as well as initiates and direct procedures to increase company quality and output.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • A minimum of 4-5+ years of related experience
  • Proven leadership ability, strong people skills (coaching, mentoring, motivation, communication, problem resolution).
  • Strong computer skills are required: Microsoft Office, Outlook, Project, etc.
  • Understanding of Lean principles and responsibilities.
  • Understanding the application, tracking, utilization, and purpose of KPI’s.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
  • Advanced knowledge and trouble shooting skills of CNC machining equipment and/or automated assembly equipment.
