About The Position

Under the direction of the Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) Leadership, the FNS Supervisor will contribute and be held responsible for insuring the safe food purchasing and handling of foods and service to our customers by following food safety and regulatory compliance standards. The supervisory scope includes these areas as assigned: Retail Operations Patient Care/Trayline Operations Food Purchasing Operations Each of these areas is responsible for recipe compliance, “Quality Assurance, Performance Improvement (QUAPI)” audits, purchasing, and customer relations/communications/service recovery. Oversight includes but is not limited to, maintaining workflow, employee training, scheduling, attendance monitoring, and corrective actions. The Supervisor provides department orientation and determines employee competency annually and at hire. Conducts performance evaluations. The Supervisor coordinates efforts between Food and Nutrition Services for Hoag Irvine and Newport Beach Campuses and may require travel between various Hoag locations and its affiliates. Acts in the absence of management.
