About The Position

The Enhanced Case Management (ECM) Supervisor is responsible for supporting the day-to-day workflows within the ECM Department. The role requires supervision of and interaction with the ECM Coordinators, Case Managers or Rx Advocates, ensuring standards are adhered to. The Supervisor will understand the ECM suite of strategies, along with the CM product, Rx processes and collaborates with other members of the ECM and Medical Management team to develop workflows, advocate for members, and support department growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • At least three years of related Group Health Insurance (Self-Funded Health Plan experience a plus) Medicare, Medicaid, Case Management and prescription drug benefit experience preferred.
  • Must possess demonstrated supervisor potential (i.e. previous team lead role, project leader, etc.,) is required.
  • Intermediate level work experience with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel Access and Power Point software applications.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times, stressful environment.

  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

  • Life and Health Insurance Producers License is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises a team that supports the department through various administrative activities and completing of assessments to support Allied members.
  • Promotes an environment of continuous improvement and collaboration and assists in troubleshooting and resolving escalated issues.
  • Responsible for day-to-day operations of the CM team, ECM or Rx Specialty team which includes delegating and assigning cases to team members based upon strategic criteria and responding to general inquiries from internal departments regarding CM services.
  • Evaluates and interacts with individual members experiencing complex medical scenarios and communicate concerns/needs with internal partners, such as the Client Executive, as appropriate.
  • Facilitate and maintain vendor relationships to ensure collaboration and communication.
  • Execute assorted weekly and monthly administrative tasks.
  • Act as the liaison between the client/broker/member and Allied Executives and Various Departments.
  • Troubleshoot, identify, and collaborate to improve internal processes within Enhanced Case Management and the various Allied departments.
  • Lead, coach, motivate and develop.
  • Responsible for one-on-one meetings, performance appraisals, growth opportunities and attracting new talent.
  • Clearly communicate expectations, provide employees with the training, resources, and information needed to succeed.
  • Actively engage, coach, counsel and provide timely, and constructive performance feedback.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
