About The Position

The Clinical Lab Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of laboratory operations for andrology and endocrinology testing in the CCRM Fertility lab. This position is responsible for overseeing laboratory staff, managing workflow, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The supervisor will also be instrumental in implementing quality control measures and optimizing laboratory processes to enhance service delivery. By fostering a collaborative environment, the supervisor will support the professional development of team members while maintaining high standards of patient care. Ultimately, this role contributes to the overall mission of providing reliable and timely laboratory results that inform insurance decisions and improve client outcomes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Chemistry, Biology or a related field (qualified for high complexity testing)
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role
• Familiarity with andrology (semen analysis, IUI prep) and endocrinology (hormone testing)
• strong leadership abilities, which are essential for managing a diverse team and fostering a positive work environment.
• Attention to detail is crucial in ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and maintaining the accuracy of laboratory results.
• Effective communication skills are necessary for collaborating with other departments and conveying important information to staff and stakeholders.
• Problem-solving skills will be utilized daily to address operational challenges and implement improvements in laboratory processes.
• Additionally, proficiency in laboratory information systems will aid in managing data and enhancing workflow efficiency.

• Oversee daily operations of the clinical laboratory, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.

• Manage and mentor laboratory staff, providing training and support to enhance their skills and performance.
• Implement and monitor quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of laboratory results.
• Coordinate with other departments to streamline processes and improve overall laboratory efficiency.
• Prepare and maintain documentation related to laboratory operations, including reports and compliance records.
