About The Position

The Supervisor, Claim Project will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the team by leading, assigning work, ensuring productivity achieved by the team. They must be knowledgeable of systems and programs, be able to gather information of systems currently used by Claim Operations to find ways to improve or enhance internal processes and workflows. The Supervisor, Claim Project will communicate recommendations to Claim Operations Management for improvement, development of applications, and testing. Also responsible for staff management, hiring, training, development, coaching and reviews.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required, Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in the healthcare industry required preferred.
  • 3 years project management or workflow and process improvement experience required.
  • Experience with desktop or Internet based project management tools such as Microsoft Project, AtTask, Basecamp, or similar. required.
  • Experience with workflow and flowcharting tools such as Visio, SmartDraw, or similar. required.
  • Intermediate level work experience with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Access and Power Point software applications required.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 -5 years of experience in healthcare and/or insurance industry preferred.
  • 1-3 years prior supervisory experience preferred.
  • 1-3 years QiclLink experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for leading and supervising operations of the Project Team, which identifies program and software needs based on data collected and operational solutions. Programs and software utilized include, but are not limited to, Docuvantage, QicLink, Sharepoint, Teams, Power BI, Power Automate, Microsoft Access and Excel.
  • Works with multiple teams within Claim Operations, including Appeals, Medical Review, Subrogation, Claims Processing, EDI, Plan Building, Mochi
  • Provides guidance to optimize systems, procedures, and processes, assists Claim Management with planning, testing, and implementing new tools and reporting applications, and ensures that all changes to processes and workflows are documented.
  • Manage Project Team inventory and monitor progression of each project to ensure timeliness.
  • Work with Claim Operations Management and the Project Team to understand current operations and procedures.
  • Responsible for oversight and hiring of staff, providing leadership, mentorship to staff, and training new employees.
  • Adhere to, and apply all applicable privacy and security laws, including but not limited to HIPAA and any regulations promulgated thereto.
  • Responsible for one-on-one meetings, performance appraisals, growth opportunities and attracting new talent.
  • Clearly communicate expectations, provide employees with the training, resources, and information needed to succeed.
  • Perform data validation and quality control to ensure success of programs.
  • Lead, coach, motivate and develop. Responsible for one-on-one meetings, performance appraisals, growth opportunities and attracting new talent.
  • Clearly communicate expectations, provide employees with the training, resources, and information needed to succeed.
  • Actively engage, coach, counsel and provide timely, and constructive performance feedback.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
