FTE: 1.0, Shift: Day, Schedule: 8:00am-4:30pm Position Summary The Supervisor of Patient Financial Services is a frontline supervisory role responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate collection of cash resolving outstanding accounts receivable. This position operates independently and directly supervises patient financial services staff. This position requires complex data analysis and is required to make independent decisions within the scope of responsibility. Major decisions are subject to the review and approval of the Manager, Director or Vice President. Internal contacts consist of all levels of staff and management throughout MHS. External contacts consist of patients and their families, insurance companies, physicians and their staff, state and federal agencies, auditors, and vendors. Contacts are for the purpose of resolving problems and issues, and discussing sensitive and confidential information with all contact levels.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in business, accounting or finance or 2 years’ experience in lieu of degree will be considered
  • Two (2) years of experience performing billing, collections, accounts receivable or claims processing work in a healthcare organization
  • Previous experience and demonstrated skills in a supervisory or lead capacity
