The Supervisor, Benefits and Authorization directly oversees the day-to-day operations of the Patient Benefit Verification and/or Authorization team members.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
At least 1 year of medical insurance authorization supervisory experience, OR 3-5 years of medical insurance authorization experience with demonstrated progression.
Ability to multi-task and support numerous referrals/priorities at one time.
Ability to work in a fast past environment.
High degree of self-discipline in maintaining productivity expectations.
Must be detail-oriented and have a high degree of quality focus.

Nice To Haves

Minimum of one (1) year customer service preferred.
Home infusion experience on the provider or payer side preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitors daily productivity performance including team member coaching and addresses corrections where needed
Interviews, hires, and trains employees.
Directs work, appraises performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Go-to for troubleshooting issues and resolutions with CMC Patient Registration team members.
Maintains updated knowledge of industry, regulatory and reimbursement issues and of payer requirements.
Keeps AVA team abreast of key changes.
Assists with roll out of new policies and procedures.
