About The Position

UPMC Western Behavioral Health at Safe Harbor is looking for a Behavioral Health Supervisor to join our Early Onset Recovery Program (EORP) team! In this role, you will lead and inspire a team of six to eight clinicians committed to delivering life-changing care for individuals experiencing symptoms of psychosis. As a senior clinical leader, you will provide hands-on clinical and administrative supervision while maintaining a clinical presence through direct patient care as appropriate. You will play a pivotal role in shaping professional growth, fostering clinical excellence, and upholding evidence-based practice. Working alongside an experienced, multidisciplinary treatment team, you will collaborate to ensure seamless continuity of care and meaningful, lasting outcomes for the patients we serve. To qualify, you must hold an active clinical license (LPC or LCSW) and bring prior experience in behavioral health and leadership. This is a Monday–Friday, daytime position (8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.), offering a consistent schedule that supports work–life balance. Requirements

  • Master's degree in psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Education in school counseling, or related field required.
  • Five years of clinical experience diagnosing and treating behavioral and psychiatric conditions required.
  • Two years of demonstrated progressive leadership experience required.
  • Knowledge of psychiatric evaluation and assessment process, as well as application of current version of the DSM required.
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Marriage Family Therapist (LMFT) or Doctorate in Psychology required.
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Clinical Social Worker (CSW) OR Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist OR Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
  • Comprehensive Crisis Management (CCMC)
  • Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
  • Act 33 with renewal
  • Act 34 with renewal
  • Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical oversight and direct patient care, including assessments, treatment planning, individual/group therapy, documentation, and coordination with insurance and access teams in outpatient and partial hospitalization programs.
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to assess changing patient needs, recommend additional services, and refer patients to appropriate levels of care and community resources.
  • Lead and supervise behavioral health therapists through daily work assignment, clinical and administrative supervision, performance reviews, staff training, and enforcement of policies and procedures.
  • Support program operations by coordinating admissions, managing clinician caseloads and group census, ensuring treatment plan quality, and participating in recruitment and quality assurance initiatives.
  • Maintain clinical productivity records, participate in performance improvement activities, and regularly communicate clinical, operational, and staffing issues with program leadership.
  • Assume program leadership in the Director’s absence as needed to ensure continuity of care, patient and staff safety, and compliance with system-wide competencies and standards.
