This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Metallic Additive Manufacturing
  • A minimum of 3 years of leadership/management experience
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing various pieces of equipment such as Additive printers, chillers, conveying systems
  • Have working experience with mechanical components including motors, spindles, bearings, controls, relays, switches and solenoids.
  • Experience working with calibrated tools as well as calibrating equipment
  • Familiar reading electrical schematics and diagrams
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Fluent in use of precision hand tools
  • Self-motivated and ability to prioritize projects to meet completion dates

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of laser safety and laser characteristics
  • Hazard waste management experience
  • Have a knowledge of standard OSHA and State safety regulations and policies including Lock Out Tag procedures for all types of equipment
  • Experience operating heavy lifting equipment such as cranes and forklifts around flight critical hardware

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of 10+ skilled maintenance technicians across multiple shifts
  • Evaluate systems or facilities to understand what work needs to be performed
  • Define and adhere to all required preventative and predictive maintenance schedule needs for all Additive Manufacturing work centers
  • Work with Additive Manufacturing leadership to define required scope
  • Define staffing plans to ensure all work center needs are being met
  • Assemble and install mechanical equipment and systems such as Metallic 3D Printers
  • Support installation and commissioning of new machinery to help grow in both capabilities and capacity
  • Maintain all machine service records
  • Schedule and operate as a point of contact for the department for facility maintenance and factory repair technicians
  • Provide training as required for preventative maintenance to other employees
  • Safely work within an industrial environment
  • Performs other duties as assigned
