Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent required
  • GPA of 3.5 or better
  • Rated top 25% of Big 4 class
  • 2-5 years of prior experience in public accounting required.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite with strong Excel skills
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%

Nice To Haves

  • 1-2 years of valuation experience at Big 4 or other large firm’s transaction advisory services beneficial
  • CPA preferred or actively pursuing completion of certification
  • Knowledge in forecast and budget tool (Adaptive, Anaplan, etc.)
  • International experience (beneficial but not required)
  • Experience with advanced data applications like Power Query and/or Alteryx

Responsibilities

  • Perform financial and accounting due diligence procedures for buy-side or sell-side engagements.
  • Identify and communicate (i) critical deal issues and (ii) the strength and weakness of the business against industry benchmarks to client management that could impact the purchase price or the deal structure.
  • Perform valuation using discounted cash flow, public company comparable, and transaction comparable methods.
  • Analyze companies’ strategic positions and corresponding forecasts.
  • Perform research and industry analyses.
  • Review purchase price allocations.
  • Challenge assumptions related to future financial projections.
  • Identify and address critical post-closing matters to ensure improvements in profitability and cash flows.
  • Interact extensively with personnel of target companies and clients.
  • Review and prepare due diligence reports outlining analyses and findings.
  • Assist with the finalization of (i) opening balance sheets of purchase price allocations and (ii) closing working capital calculations.
  • Comfortability with advanced Excel functionalities: building flatfiles, pivot tables, macros, and using advanced formulas such as SUMIFS, INDEX/MATCH, INDIRECT.
