Job Overview: Supervises Punch Plumbers engaging in construction projects by performing the following duties. Essential Responsibilities: Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment. Ensures that the quality of the work performed is up to customer and company standards and meets city regulations. Check each job to make sure it is ready before scheduling the work to be completed. Communicate with builders daily to maintain a good working relationship. Makes sure the job site is up to cleanliness standards to meet the builder’s expectations. Handles warranty calls to ensure customers’ needs are met. Communicates and enforces company policies to workers. Enforces safety regulations and company safety policy. Interprets specifications, job orders to workers and assigns duties. Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules. Recommends measures to improve methods, equipment performance, and quality of product. Suggests changes in methods and use of equipment to increase the efficiency of the work crew. Analyzes and resolves problems or assists workers in solving problems. Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals. Maintains time and production records. Performs activities of workers supervised. Attending work at the various job sites is an essential function of this job. Any other task, as assigned. Must be able to kneel, crawl, and stoop. Must be able to perform work underneath homes. Must be able to dig into the ground with a shovel and mix concrete with a shovel. Looks for ways to improve and promote quality, demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness. Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands, changes approach or method to best fit the situation. Ability to deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Five to ten years’ experience and training as a plumber, and prefer a tradesman or higher license. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before employees of the organization. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Directly supervises 5-15 employees (and non-employees), including plumbers, helpers, and subcontractors (reviews the completed work of). Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
