About The Position

MUST BE A SANDIA TRIBAL MEMBER BETWEEN THE AGES OF 14 -21 YEARS TO APPLY. THIS IS NOT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC OR COMMUNITY MEMBERS Under the supervision of selected department managers or the Recreation & Wellness Administrator, this position is responsible for participating in and adhering to the Summer Youth Internship guidelines as determined by the Summer Internship Program Guide. The objective plan is leadership development, tracking, and developmental opportunities and to create a match between the organization’s future needs. Requirements

• MUST BE A SANDIA TRIBAL MEMBER BETWEEN THE AGES OF 14 -21 YEARS TO APPLY.
• Must be currently enrolled in an educational institution or have a High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Must possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted New Mexico Driver’s License (if applicable based on age).
• Must be able to successfully pass a stringent background investigation.
• Will require a pre-employment and random drug screening.

• Relevant work experience or education may be substituted to satisfy education and/or work experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs designated duties in the department for exposure to key position components depending on department needs.
• Attends required training related to the department and career development.
• Completes required paperwork outlined in the department or program guide.
• Punctual and regular attendance is an essential responsibility for all team members and are expected to report to work based upon the assigned scheduled each day in accordance with the Attendance Policy for Pueblo Sandia.
• Performs additional duties when requested.
