Summer Youth Instructor - Part-time
About The Position
Pleasant Grove Recreation is looking for a Summer Youth Instructors who enjoy working with children. We are looking for someone who is energetic , willing to instruct students in outlined activities for Summer Camps and Kids Cooking classes . May apply for one or both . Must be 14 or older to apply . Hours: Monday-Thursday 9am-3 pm (2 to 3 days a week) June 1 to Aug 7 Day: Mon-Thurs Off Fri- Sunday Training - Available to do some training in April After school Salary : $8.00 hour Plus a Rec & Pool pass during the summer Job Requirements & Duties: Set up and clean up -Requires lifting of tables and chairs Being creative Required to work Mon- Thurs / Mornings to late afternoons Enjoys children and making activities fun Very outgoing & Energetic personality Able to give instructions and lead group in activities Organized Work quickly and efficiently Ok working outside as well Cooking instructors are required to have a current food handlers license Must be 14 or older-to apply Requirements: Hours vary depending on events and programs scheduled. 10-20 hours a week. Assist the Adult Class Instructor and aid children in Camps and cooking classes. Must Enjoy working with all ages of children. Need to be able to take charge and lead small groups in activities, like to be outdoors, and need a food handler permit and some cooking skills if applying for cooking class. Position is classified as a non-exempt, part time employee. Hourly requirements are part time year round not to exceed 29 hours per week.
