About The Position

The Summer Tech Program Coordinator at GARY COMER YOUTH CENTER is responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing the execution of the summer technology programs. Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in program coordination or management, preferably in a youth-focused environment.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing educational or technology programs for youth.
  • Experience working with diverse populations and understanding of cultural competencies.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff.
  • Proficiency in using technology and digital tools relevant to program coordination and educational activities.
  • Ability to design and deliver engaging educational content tailored to the needs of youth participants.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing environments and challenges.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with youth and community partners.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum for summer technology programs that cater to various skill levels.
  • Coordinate with instructors, volunteers, and staff to ensure all program components are delivered effectively.
  • Manage the enrollment process, including marketing the program to potential participants and handling registrations.
  • Oversee daily operations of the program, ensuring a safe and engaging learning environment for all participants.
  • Evaluate program outcomes and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain communication with parents, participants, and stakeholders to address any concerns or provide updates on program progress.
  • Ensure all program activities comply with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with external partners and sponsors to enhance program offerings and resources.
  • Prepare reports and documentation related to program performance and participant progress.
  • Assist in budget management and resource allocation for the program.
