IREN is currently looking for 6 Summer Students to join our Childress team for the 2026 Summer Term from June to August. We are looking for Grade 12 students who are excited about an opportunity to gain hands on experience and exposure in the operations of a data center in the heart of their hometown. These positions will have the opportunity to work with an amazing team and leadership, get their hands dirty doing some manual labor, and add to their resume in preparation for longer term career options. We have grown substantially since 2019, from our inception in Australia to now having several facilities across North America and being listed on NASDAQ… and we are just getting started! The Student for the job… Must be a current full-time student and be enrolled as a full-time student in the August 2026 semester –Completed grade 12 and enrolled in post-secondar schooling or looking to enter the workforce. Or completed Grade 11 and starting Senior class in August. Able to work in a safe and efficient manner Available to work a varied schedule, possibly consisting of overtime hours Have strong interpersonal and communication skills Able to analyze and troubleshoot and ask questions when they aren’t sure Bring a positive attitude and be a self-starter Able to work in an environment that may include exposure to weather, dust, noise, heavy equipment and electricity Must be legally entitled to work in Texas and over the age of 16 years old In exchange for your time and contribution Students in Grade 12 going into Post-secondary will earn $20/hour Students in Grade 11 going into their Senior year will earn $18/hour What to include with your application: 1. Proof of enrollment in the August 2026 semester including course/program overview for post-secondary studies, or letter of enrollment from your secondary school 2. Resume The ‘not-so-fine print’ key requirements to be eligible are: 1. Students must be attending an educational institution full time during the 2026-2027 academic year enrolled in 3 or more courses per semester (ie. You are currently in Grade 11 or Grade 12) 2. Students graduating Grade 12 and moving into post-secondary schooling must be enrolled in a program of two or more years duration, leading to a recognized degree or diploma 3. Students finishing Grade 11 and progressing to Grade 12 must provide proof of a passing grade Students hired for summer employment will be expected to be available and committed to work throughout the duration of the summer work term, from June 1 to August 3, 2026. Assist with equipment installation and removal, including miners and cables Help maintain the cleanliness and organization of the data centers and operations facility Support the maintenance team with tasks such as replacing light bulbs, painting, and basic repairs Complete all tasks safely, following established safety procedures and guidelines Perform other duties as assigned by the Operations or Site Manager or other supervisors Be ready to help the team where and when it is needed To ensure our Summer Students take away key learnings and ways to progress their futures, not only will you receive timely on-the-job feedback, you will also have your own one-on-one performance discussion with your supervisor at the end of your work term.
