The Summer Research Institute is a program that invites collaborative work between undergraduate students and faculty mentors from across the university to perform summer research or creative work. Students who meet the criteria for it receive free campus housing for program duration, meals, and a summer stipend. This student-centered research program focuses on the development of critical scholarly or creative skills relevant to a specific field as well as broad skills in professional development. This program was open to all HPU undergraduate students. Students were provided with specific instructions on how to complete the application process that closed March 1. Following a competitive application cycle, 19 students were accepted into the program. This job description is provided as a means for students who were selected for inclusion in this program to complete their compensation paperwork through the HPU Business Office. The SuRI program officially runs in concert with the summer class schedule of June and July. You may only apply for this position only if you have completed your contract with SuRI.
