About The Position

DevNW is seeking a Summer Program Coordinator to support our summer lunch program and lead engaging activities for youth living in our housing communities. This is a temporary, part-time summer position focused on creating a safe, welcoming, and fun environment for children and teens.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience working with or leading activities for youth.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks.
• Commitment to inclusive and respectful engagement with diverse communities.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between two sites.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual English/Spanish.
• Lived experience with housing or financial instability.
• Experience working with diverse or historically marginalized communities.

Responsibilities

• Support daily summer lunch distribution in partnership with the Corvallis School District.
• Prepare and maintain community program space before and after meals.
• Plan and lead youth activities such as games, arts and crafts, sports, and wellness programs.
• Track attendance and help coordinate volunteers.
• Encourage participation and work with staff to adapt activities to community needs.
