The applicant for this position must have the necessary skills to handle the duties of our very rapidly growing summer season. Leadership- The Summer program Coordinator will help oversee counselors, desk worker and coordinate vendors. The Summer program will also work on residence hall line plans and help with check in and check out, parents questions and supplies distribution. Teamwork- These applicants must be willing and able to help each other as much as their direct reports on whatever is needed at the moment. They should fill in the gaps, help one another take appropriate breaks by offering support and supervision. If someone asks for help, they should be the type of person to jump in and offer to assist. Responsibility- being reliable is huge for the summer as we have such a short time with the students. Sometimes 3-6 days for each group. We expect our summer workers to be available the whole time they have been hired to work. Composure- staying calm and collected during the large volume events and registration of hundreds of students can be challenging for some. We are encouraging students who are problem solvers and can function under pressure to apply for this position.
