Pay Range: $20.60 - $20.60 Position Overview Our Summer Internship Program will conclude at the end of August. SUMMARY The CH Intern provides a mix of administrative, technical and project-based support to an assigned department, division and/or program. This role assists the team with both routine daily operations and specialized tasks that align with the function of the department, division and/or program it is assigned to. The role also contributes to the overall efficiency of the team, offering an opportunity to apply academic knowledge to real-world challenges. Execute a wide range of tasks tailored to the assigned department, division or program, including administrative support, technical assistance or field work to support daily operations.

Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Must be currently enrolled in a college or university and seeking a degree in Economics, Business or Public Administration, Engineering, Finance or related field of assignment.
  • Experience: must be currently enrolled in a college or university.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word and Excel. Ability to manage multiple administrative tasks or small-scale projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Developing ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to remain open to feedback and quickly adapt to new tasks and/or shifting priorities.
  • Ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor while interacting with staff, visitors or leadership in a high-activity environment.
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks after receiving initial direction, knowing when to proactively ask questions for clarity.
  • Comfort with handling sensitive or confidential information with discretion and integrity.
  • Frequent physical demands include: Wrist position deviation , Keyboard use/repetitive motion
  • Occasional physical demands include: Sitting , Standing , Walking , Climbing (e.g., stairs or ladders) , Carry objects , Push/Pull , Twisting , Bending , Reaching forward , Reaching overhead , Squat/kneel/crawl , Pinching/fine motor activities

Responsibilities

  • Execute a wide range of tasks tailored to the assigned department, division or program, including administrative support, technical assistance or field work to support daily operations
  • Assist in the collection, compilation and analysis of departmental data, ensuring information is organized and tabulated accurately for team review
  • Learn to navigate and evaluate local, state and federal laws, regulations and ordinances, helping the team ensure compliance and informed decision-making
  • Support the coordination and research of grant opportunities to help secure resources for departmental initiatives and special projects
  • Contribute to the development and update of departmental programs, systems and procedures, helping to refine goals, strategies and internal standards
  • Provide hands-on support for project development, assisting with task management, internal process standardization and data collection and analysis
  • Help prepare and review budgets and fiscal documents, ensuring all financial information is compiled accurately and on schedule
  • Provide proactive day-to-day administrative and technical support to staff, acting as a reliable resource to enhance overall team productivity
  • Perform other duties as assigned
