The summer internship position is being offered to Snoqualmie Tribal students entering 11th grade, 12th grade, or their freshman year of college. The internship program runs a total of 6 weeks and attendance for the full duration of the program is required. Interns will learn, participate, contribute and engage in the many functions of Tribal administration and the programs and events organized by the Tribe. Interns will spend 4 weeks working in the Snoqualmie Indian Tribe departments, shadowing community organizations and Snoqualmie Tribe enterprises, and participating in professional development workshops. The last 2 weeks, interns will spend time with a department of their choosing, and continue the professional development workshop series, and create the intern final project. Interns will have the opportunity to work on tribal events and the Tribal Canoe Journey (Snoqualmie Tribe students participating in the Canoe Journey will be granted excused absences for the duration of the journey).
