Summer Intern
About The Position
The RTW ADF Summer Intern will work closely with the NewCo-Corporate Development team at RTW to research, plan, and implement firm strategic initiatives as well as contribute to New Ventures workstreams. This role will support high-priority, high-impact projects. In partnership with cross-functional stakeholders, this individual will drive company operations and forward-thinking organizational goals. The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills, capability to do secondary research, be deeply collaborative, an outstanding communicator, and thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. This position is full-time and reports to an Associate on the ADF team.
Requirements
- Advanced degree (includes MS, MA, MBA, PhD or MD) in biomedical sciences or related field from a top tier university
- Team player that can work with cross-functional teams with a strong sense of integrity
- Skilled at assembling, integrating, and interpreting raw data and research
- Attention to detail and good organizational skills
- Strong at written, verbal, and presentation-based communications
- Strong willingness to learn
- Must be able to work from our New York City office, 5 days /week
Nice To Haves
- Prior investment banking, consulting life science investing, or industry experience is preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide support to RTW’s portfolio companies in managing partnerships, sourcing vendors, and assisting with business development initiatives
- Support the growth and development of teams across portfolio companies
- Support portfolio company’s leadership and RTW experts in developing and executing project plans, maintaining detailed operational trackers, and coordinating with external partners to advance licensed drug development programs
- Contribute to various projects related to company building, financial and scientific analysis, project management, and other ad hoc initiatives as needed
